R3BUILD was founded in January 2016 with a straightforward aim: build a company that genuinely helps people — and does the work right, every time.
From the start, one of our founding goals has been to change what people expect from a general contractor. Too many homeowners carry a story about a contractor who cut corners, went quiet, or blew the budget — R3BUILD was built to be the opposite: transparent in its pricing, communicative at every stage, and accountable from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.
Cory came into construction from an unlikely angle. With a background in business systems and technology, he spent five years building the operational and process backbone of a family construction company — the behind-the-scenes structure that lets a business scale and deliver consistently. When that company reached the size it wanted to stay, he set out to build something of his own, with room to grow and a higher standard for how clients are cared for.
Because that work centered on insurance-claim restoration, Cory went deep on it — earning his Texas All Lines Adjuster license and IICRC restoration certification, and mastering the claims process, coverages, and what it truly takes to return a home to pre-loss condition. Two years in, Hurricane Harvey put that expertise to the test: R3BUILD helped hundreds of Houston families get back to whole, and partnered with Northwest Assistance Ministries and Hope Disaster Recovery to protect homeowners from the fly-by-night contractors that surface after a disaster.
As R3BUILD grew, Cory sharpened the company’s focus on the work he’s most passionate about: remodeling. He’s drawn to the craft of transformation — reimagining a home’s existing structure to maximize how it lives, looks, and functions — and has steadily elevated R3BUILD into high-end and ultra-high-end renovations, where thoughtful design and fine detail make all the difference. In the last several years, that same design-driven approach has carried into commercial build-outs, turning blank-slate spaces into environments tailored to exactly how our clients work.
